Broward County Lime Water Treatment Plant: Limited Site Assessment

As experts in contamination removal, EPAC was hired to investigate possible diesel contamination for the Broward County Lime Water Treatment Plant.

EPAC ensured the investigation underwent proper measures were taken by sampling soils and groundwater to determine 1) whether contamination had actually occurred and 2) the extent of  contamination.

There are many signs that indicate diesel contamination. These include fuel discoloration, the premature wearing of rings or cylinder liners, constant cleaning or replacement fuel injectors, rotten fuel smell and black exhaust smoke.

The identified area was confirmed to be contaminated and was quickly remediated and removed from the property by EPAC professionals. There is now no contamination within the limited area affected on the water treatment plant property.
